On this merry day I thought I would just post to wish all my clients and people viewing the blog a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
I have just recently finished working on a Tyranid project, but regrettably forgot to take images of the completed models before shipping them out (DOH!), so I've included some shots below that were taken just before the bases were done and the final touchups.
The test model is the lighter coloured one in the foreground of some of the pictures. Prior to sending he was re-shaded to fit with the new colour scheme as per client request.
On another note, I have adjusted my pricing guides to reflect the VAT increase in January, and also to make up on some lost capital on some previous commissions. I feel the prices are fairer for both the client and myself, allowing me to give better service.
As a merry Christmas from me, I am offering 10% off all orders placed between today (25th December) up to and including the 10th January. This will automatically be included in any Quotes that I give between now and then.
Have a good one!

Dun dun duuun! Bumper Post
Sorry for not posting in an age, life got in the way I'm afraid! A show at the weekend saw me picking up much of the reinforcements I needed for various systems - yet more models I wont end up painting in years! I've also made some good progress on the Tyranids, and I must apologise to Chris for being slow on that front; the week off I was supposed to get them done in I ended up working more than I do in a normal week!
First Up is the Elder Dragon and the Flagship for my Dragon Lords for Uncharted Seas. They are both fantastic, beautiful models, yet will require a lot of filling. Cant wait to getting round to painting these to be honest!
Next up are quite a few additions to my Secrets of the Thirds Reich (Westwind Productions) British Para drop army. First is the command transport.
Next are some armoured cars for transporting the paras (Designed of light reconnaissance in that they can be dropped from a plane in either glider or by parachute into the battlefield). Awesome models by an unknown supplier.
Next is a light tank, again I was wanting to give the image of a glider born or parachuted tank that was small and quick.
Next is the SAS commando squad which will ride in one of the armoured cars (With Shotguns and Paddy Mayne with a packed LMG)
I assembled this a while ago but didn't get round to taking images. They are a bit poor as it didn't fit in my light box. HMS Hood:
Next additions to my German FoW Fallschirmjaeger army. Yep, that's right, King Tigers :) an answer really to Mike's Crocodiles at the club :)
And finally... working more on the Tyranids. They are at various stages, the top images with the light blue extreme highlighting are the furthest on, the others still require the highlighting to be done to them:
For the tyranids I have the following to do :
Light Blue extreme highlight on the carapace
blue washes to bring the highlight right down and dampen it
Pink base coat on the underside of all the wings
Highlights on the pink and the purple
Washing down
Then they will be finished; it shouldn't take me much longer than another couple of weeks.
Cheers all.
Out.

Progress at last!
Well I've finished another commission and made a solid start on another. Below are some AT teams for Mike's early war Germans, painted and based in the same style as the others.
On top of that I have been asked to base coat only a load of Warmachine Elves (The name keeps escaping me dammit) - so here is the first batch.
Well, that's it for now, I'm getting more of the Tyranids through the post, so they will be my main focus from now on, I will be attempting to clear them out of the way in order to make more space and time for the commission above. Mike is also talking about getting the wife to let him buy more toy soldiers :D

This and That...
Well, Its been a very busy month so far for me!
First off, The opening offer that ran until the 1st October has unfortunately now finished, and congratulations to those of you who have gained commission with me including the deal.
Secondly I would like to thank Mike, I have been painting his Flames of War Germans and he has repayed me by becoming the first (Of hopefully many) customers to post a testimonial on the relevant website page. That's it for the Flames of War commissions on the workbench for now, so cheers Mike!
Thirdly, I personally have just purchased a new Grey Knights army from a friend at my local gaming club, I'm looking forward to getting those painted up and having a couple of games with them sometime soon (I'm having my first game with them tomorrow in fact!)
Lastly details of the commissions I am currently working on. I have received 2 new commissions in the post this week, and have given out quotes for another two... excellent!
1. Additions to a Tyranid Army. I received the miniatures in the post earlier this week and have finished the test model. The Models will be painted in the scheme below, with the exception of the fact they will have the pseudo-limbs on the wings painted in the same purple as the body.
I'm steadily working my way through the Gargoyles when I get time between work and the other commission, detailed below;
2. Warmachine Infantry Army. I received the first half of this army this week too in the post, the twist being that the client only wants the basic colours painting onto each model; no shading, highlighting, basing or any of that fancy stuff, he wants to do that himself. I don't have any pics of this yet, but they are sure to come.
Well, there's still room for more commissions on the painting table, so if you would like something painted, don't hesitate to browse around the website and give me an email! I have made the commission prices table a lot more comprehensive as of yesterday too, so you should now find this easier to use!

Commission Completed and another started!
Well, It was a busy evening last night and it has been a busy day today. I recived Chris' Tyranids through the post today so set about assembling them. There are currently 10 Gargoyles and 3 Hive Guard with another 10 Gargoyles to follow, all painted to the Standard painting level.
The Hive Guard are massive chunks of metal and tbh a bit of a pain in the arse to put together, but the Gargoyles fit together nicely (The arms are a bit fiddly mind you) and I think they look awesome... Got me thinking about a Tyranid army of my own.
Below are the first images taken with my new light box of the Tyranids assembled (I wanted to spray today too but its raining cats and dogs outside now :'( ). Let me know what you think of the light box and If its an improvement or not.
Following on from this I have just finished some more Flames of War Early War Germans for Mike at the Club. These are pioneers. They have mine detection, laying and AT weaponry, as well as Mike's beloved flamethrowers (For those of you who don't know, Mike is a pyromaniac and never takes an army without flamers in it).
Well, That will be it for today. I can't go any further until I can spray the Nids. I also have a commission for some Warmachine models coming in. These will just be base coated in the relevant colours, no shading or highlighting etc. The client wants to do that himself.
