Well, It was a busy evening last night and it has been a busy day today. I recived Chris' Tyranids through the post today so set about assembling them. There are currently 10 Gargoyles and 3 Hive Guard with another 10 Gargoyles to follow, all painted to the Standard painting level.
The Hive Guard are massive chunks of metal and tbh a bit of a pain in the arse to put together, but the Gargoyles fit together nicely (The arms are a bit fiddly mind you) and I think they look awesome... Got me thinking about a Tyranid army of my own.
Below are the first images taken with my new light box of the Tyranids assembled (I wanted to spray today too but its raining cats and dogs outside now :'( ). Let me know what you think of the light box and If its an improvement or not.
Following on from this I have just finished some more Flames of War Early War Germans for Mike at the Club. These are pioneers. They have mine detection, laying and AT weaponry, as well as Mike's beloved flamethrowers (For those of you who don't know, Mike is a pyromaniac and never takes an army without flamers in it).
Well, That will be it for today. I can't go any further until I can spray the Nids. I also have a commission for some Warmachine models coming in. These will just be base coated in the relevant colours, no shading or highlighting etc. The client wants to do that himself.

Hordes Test mini finished!
Well, progress has been a little slow lately. I have had quite a few commission enquiries which is very good so hopefully there will be more updates soon. Recently I have been working more on the Hordes Circle stuff just to test my new colour scheme, which I must say I am very pleased with!
I've also built myself a light box, and I am loving the results so far (Check the picture quality below compared to the other images). Just waiting for my new hobby lamp and daylight bulb to arrive now!
Next I will be moving on to paint my caster for the force, Kreuger.

Hmm.....
Work is a little bit slow at the moment ... I did have an enquiry about a massive guard army that wanted doing by the first of October, if you are reading this then prices aren't fixed, so please message me back if that was the problem you didn't respond.
I haven't done much painting since I finished the Flames of War Grenadiers, mainly due to the fact i nearly OD'd on painting small metal men while forcing my way through them :D
At the moment I'm working on a test model for my Hordes Circle army. I'm trying to go for something completely different over the traditional green and gold of the circle and am going for an ArcticWolf themed force - rather fitting i thought!
The models will all be the same colour scheme (Icey blue, white and silver) and at the moment I'm just working on the capes. The first attempt came out like the image below. It looked a lot better before I applied the wash but i certainly wasn't happy when it had dried.
I then went on to do the following on another test model, which i am absolutely chuffed with (Only uses a 2 colour palette too!) - this will be the main colours for capes and other cloth in the entire army.
I'm intending to base all the models on some nice scenic bases with snowfall on them. Stay tuned for more progress!

First Commission Completed!
That's right, the first of my commissions, some Flames of War Early War German Grenadiers, is now complete after some shock therapy (Basically involved me sitting in a chair with my headphones on full blast until they were finished.
Sorry about the shoddy light in the Pictures, but its the best i can do with my phone... I really need to invest in a new camera!
If these are good enough the client may have more work for me... I sincerely hope he does!

Work is slow...
At the moment work on the Praetorians is slow. I am currently working on a Flames of War commission for a guy at my local gaming club called Mike. I love painting 15mm models as there is slightly less detail and highlights to be needed - but hate the fact there are hundreds of them!
Pictures will follow as soon as i have them finished. I am pressing on in an attempt to get them finished for club night on Thursday for him.
I have also got my advertising on Warseer up and running, so you may see our banner there, or have even come here by clicking on it - if so I welcome you to the website and hope I can be of some assistance to you.
Wish me luck!

First Commission
I have received my first commission from a friend at my local wargames club. A simple paintjob on some Flames of War Early War German Grenadiers. At the moment I have assembled and undercoated 24 infantry bases and 6 command bases, and I am hoping to get cracking on them today - I can hopefully get them finished by next Thursday for our next club meeting.
See the Workbench page for details. Pictures to be added soon.
Flames of War commission prices have now been added to the Commission information page too.
